Stamp-1.The Universal Children's Day, celebrated on 14th November every year, is an occasion to renew out commitment to the cause of children and re-dedicate ourselves to fulfilling their basic needs and rights. The day also coincides with the birth day of India's first Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, fondly called 'Chacha Nehru' by children. The Department of Posts brings out stamp on Childre's Day every year, which is designed by a child. this year's stamps are based on painting made by Master Keval Thakkar, a student of Amariyoti Saraswati Vidyalaya Kalvibid, Bhavnagar, Gujarat and Master Shivanna T Madvi, a student of Dada Vaidya High School, Curti, Ponda, Goa, Maharashtra who won the first prizes in the Group I and II respectively in the competition.

Stamp-2. Released on 14th November 2006, Children's Day.
